What major historical events do you remember?
I must say that the tragedy that occurred in Dallas, Texas, stayed engraved in my mind. Even though I was not born, the memory persists till now. It will be like that as long as I live.
It was a public assassination of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy!
The man who had the courage to oppose all those devils, inhuman, moronic creatures to whom human life is nothing!
For those who do not know who J.F.K. was my humble request is to read and meet him through his speeches…
He used to say in his “Strategy of Peace:”
“Mankind must put an end to war before war puts an end to mankind,” “If we cannot now end our differences, at least we can help make the world safe for diversity,” and “The United States… will also do our part to build a world of peace where the weak are safe and the strong are just.””
“World peace, like community peace, does not require that each man love his neighbor—it requires only that they live together in mutual tolerance, submitting their disputes to a just and peaceful settlement. And history teaches us that enmities between nations, as between individuals, do not last forever . . .”
And his speech to the press corps…
The second event was another assassination. That of Italian politician Aldo Moro, who wanted to unite instead to divide Italians!
“Be independent. Don’t look to tomorrow but to the day after tomorrow.”
We must understand the importance of recognizing personalities that can unite us. It is crucial to protect them using whatever means we have. Even a positive word will do then when the enemies of humanity are promoting lies trying to discredit them.
Think about it!
And Stay Observant!
