What’s something you believe everyone should know.

One spiritual man left with us this quote that I used for the title.

Yesterday I had a pleasure to live the wedding of my son. Watching him and his wife, I reminiscent moments from the time he was born, the games we played, difficult moments we passed, quarrels we had, beautiful memorable moments we lived… In a word, it is life! It is the time when fathers should take  stock and enjoy the results. I did enjoy as I think I have managed to make my kids balance between needs and wants.

And that brings me and you, the readers, to the title of this short post.

But before that, let me share a super special moment I experienced with my youngest son, who became a rock of a man in every sense.  A heart like silk, a soul like the purest ocean, strength like the entire universe, and at the same time the being who learned in his young age to protect others from himself, the trait I passed to him.  So, what does it mean to protect others from yourself? It means to first have a clean, clear soul and then all the other ingredience will appear by themselves. It is difficult to implement humanity, but once you start, you will discover the beauty of it! You will set your soul free! For the history that sublime humanity was brought to this world by Marko Miljanov, a hero from the Kuči tribe from today’s Montenegro, who, look the coincidence, was the best man at my great-grandfather Novo wedding!  So, part of me comes from that proud Kuči tribe. Since then, a trait has been passed on to our family. To be honest, not everyone respected this, but we did.   That’s how I got it from my father, and that is how I could pass it to my youngest son.

So, yesterday, after many of the guests left, he approached me and said: “I love you a lot, dad! Please take care of yourself! And because of you, and because of me! What I am today, what I became, is because of you. I carry a part of you in myself!” The rest is more personal. I am keeping it in my soul, knowing that it will last for eternity!

Of course, material is important, but only to a certain extent. To the extent when you learn how to  balance between needs and wants. Because otherwise you will realise one day, and it might be late, that if you have the material things and you lost your soul, then nothing material matters anymore as you lost yourself!

As by Thomas Paine, time makes more converts than a reason, a humble suggestion to all of you who recognise that you lost a soul is to accelerate your time machine and join those already awaken!

And so I came to the end, which is like the beginning, which is reflected in these truthful words!

“Blessed is he who has realized that his soul is his only possession”
