Mr. Powell is currently visiting Serbia and was patiently waiting for the meeting with President of Serbia Vučić who was in Paris and had a meeting with French President Macron. Mr. Powell had an overnight stay in Belgrade because of that. So, he wanted something more than to.inspect and talk about the relations between UK and Serbia. This relations are not in a good shape ever since Britain pushed Serbia away from the Adriatic sea in 1912 and helped Austro-Hungarian Empire to form Albanian nation out of many tribes there! Same is with Britain terrible relations with Russia!

Maybe Mr. Powell as a carrier diplomat wanted to find out if there is a possibility to open a back chanel with Russia? Well, if Britain stops meddling in the Serbia internal business, then Serbia might be willing to help… Just a guess….
