Just read at zerohedge.com the article about the state of Hollywood today where a friend and dear subscriber made a comment that I used as the title of this post.

After decades of rise and great movies with important messages for everyone who was ready to hear and of course enjoy them, there was a clouding of consciousness and the appearance of megalomania which could not, and will not be able to be compensated by intelligence and hard work.
It’s just that Hollywood has deviated from the carefully chosen decades-long path, and now there is no going back.
Many of the Hollywood stars have thought that being an actor means being both a politician and an influencer. Plus, being the one who will decide for others what they should be and what they should do. That gave the space for the rise of destructive narcissism. They, blind in their self righteousness and importance, omitted to recognise and learn from an actor in Ukraine who has so far cost more than a million dead of his countryman. The actor who destroyed a country by accepting the “invitation” of the British Johnson not to accept the already negotiated peace agreement in April 2022.
They, instead to keep their integrity choose to present false integrity that instead of vision for all had only their vision in mind. A vision that most probably was forced upon them by those paying and promoting them. That was the beginning of their downfall that is now so obvious.
Hollywood has become an idealess environment with once visionary people and now with stupid idiots who have totally lost touch with reality. Hard work does not matter when your path is in the wrong direction.
However, I deeply think that after clearing the waters, Holywood will rise again. With human intelligence, if given a chance, Holywood will again produce movies like the Scent of a woman, GodFather, JFK, The Good Shepherd, Gone with the wind, Brave heart, Eyes wide shut, etc…
That would be the only chance for America to regain some of already lost soft power.
And what it looks like the masters need to change, bubbles need to burst and new generation of common sensed peolel to take over. It will be a long process, but I am sure that the world will be eagerly awaiting that change.
For that change to be able to occur, America needs to pass serious cleaning and crisis, this time without war.
At least I will be waiting for that to happen with wide open hands!
And a message to all those who feel offended by anyone (you will understand who are those by the harsh words they use) is a quote from Platon:
“When someone hurts us deeply, we only recover when we forgive.”
Practising it would be the start of a “beautiful relationship…” for many of us.
