What do you complain about the most?
Sharing thoughts of one of my dear friends!
“For half a century, I have lived in a world where there is no good and no bad.
This world taught me to be a witness, not to be a side.
This geography silence, my family patience, my workplace belongingness…
Through it all, I learned to remain human; that was the hardest lesson.
That’s exactly why Anooshirvan Miandji’s sentence comes to mind:
“I am in the greatest resistance of life; the resistance to remain human. ”
Because today, remaining human is a political act in itself.
Why is it so hard to remain human after everything?
Why does salt not join our diets while we are alive,
When you die, are eulogies lined up on the tombstone?
Because living people are uncomfortable;
a dead person cannot object.
Life, however, is not a place to be wasted so much.
There is no burden to carry so much carelessness and dishonesty.
Even the cycles of life whisper balance to us:
Night and day, man with land, scream with silence…
But we chose noise.
Not to hear, not to see, not to forget;
we were taught to forget.
We are in the age of visuals.
Even kindness can not exist without displaying it.
If being actually well was the goal,
good deeds done can not be so polished or marketed.
Because kindness is silent.
Silence agitates the authorities.
There is actually an ancient order:
What the right hand gives, the left hand does not know
a shameless, unregistered, unappreciated layout.
Because this order does not work, so much evil is circulating among us.
Because kindness is not known,
when it’s done to be known, it rots.
They say kindness and make a person well.
That’s true.
but not only to anyone else;
stops the rot in the one who does the most.
It’s hard to stay human these days.
Because being human requires not to be neutral.
Because to be human, not to be silent…
And maybe that’s why,
this is still the greatest resistance in this era.
I choose the hard one.
Nice sunday to all of us… “
