What’s a word or phrase that annoys you?

So, when faced with this kind of question, I always start counting to 100, then take a deep breath and calmly, with smile, reply

Please give me a pleasure of learning with whom I have a privilege to talk. 

That makes my unfortunate interlocutor become confused and, in many cases, just stop talking. That silence makes me so happy.

Last year I had exactly this kind of situation.

By mistake, I “kissed” his black BMW bumper from behind without even leaving a scratch. I mildly smiled and accepted the claim immediately. Then he asked me, “WHY DO YOU SMILE?” “DO YOU KNOW WHO AM I?”

I looked at him better and saw one complete idiot Infront of me. So I asked him while we were waiting for insurance to come where he works and he told me that the car is not his but of  his best friend one of the well known lawyer involved in many interesting transactions… So I asked him if he has permission to drive that car and if he is covered by the insurance.

Oooooo, from that YOU KNOW WHO AM I, he became a sheep. He was so nice and even started making jokes…. So, I gave him a hint that his great friend lawyer is known to me in many ways…

I even manage to make him ask me – WHO ARE YOU?

I replied that I am just an ordinary men who loves all human beings and tries to awake some of them to become better as I always try to advance myself also.

He stop speaking and never said anything till insurance came. The insurance agent made photos of his bumper and told him that he cannot see even a scratch. I smiled sat in the car and left.

My insurance later informed me that he claimed one hundred euros to “fix” the bumper, and that insurance agreed as claim was so low.

We have souls like that occupying the earth. They need help. They need our humanity which practically means to protect them from ourselves.

Let me repeat

Being HUMAN MEANS TO PROTECT OTHERS FROM YOURSELF.

So, whenever you have someone telling you arrogantly – DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM? remember to protect him from yourself. Maybe that fellow human being will awake, and you will do a great work for humanity!
