This would be a beautiful photo and a sign of respect of a husband to the wife if it was not held while their country and their people were in deep trouble because of constant rain and so many floods!

Mr. Marcos, the president of Philipines, organised a party by inviting a popular band Chocolate Factory to perform for his wife celebration of her birthday at the  time when Philinines are facing a terrible rain fall followed by disastrous floods.

So, this is how it looks!

Floods are a huge problem in the Philippines that could have been treated if the leader and his family gave their example!

To have any problem solved, you need the right atmosphere. The atmosphere that is producing the right timing! Because as one proverb says , you are not right, even if you are right, when the time is not right. It is a long-term process based on anti corruption and genuine patriotism.

Then, you will feel the new atmosphere inspiring others! The atmosphere that arises from the deeds of the person who has the highest position in any organisation. In this situation, that should be Mr. Marcos, the president of Philipines. Unfortunately for the Philipino people, he failed. Tragically failed.

Usually, this happens when the rulers are blind by hatred and greed! Hatred towards their own people and greed to take as many riches as possible. That happens when they can not distinguish a crucial thing, which is described in one forgotten letter of Ottoman Empire Sultania ( wife of a Sultan) :

“You must be aware that wealth, money, possessions, they are all a deceit!”

“I became a possessor of uncountable riches, but be aware, just as when we came into the world, when we leave it also we have nothing, nothing but the sheet we are wrapped in.”

When one realises this, then, and only then, instead of corruption, he or she will work tirelessly to leave deeds behind them that will help others survive in the future! The deeds that will make the leader immortal and his name will be forever remembered and mentioned by the new generations!

So, instead of parties, while your country is suffering, the best way to stay immortal is to lead your people by self example! Not to plead that you will escape from the country, but that you will stay and fight for the well-being of the people who entrusted you with their votes! Be sure that the people will know how to award you!

Otherwise, all the riches will not be enough to wash away the stain from the name forever.

History is teaching us that the last French Queen Marie Antoinette got executed for high treason. Attributed to her is the saying ” let them eat the cake,” when she was informed that the peasants do not have bread to eat. 

The question  arises. Does chocolate factory make cakes or bread?
