“The Essence of Decision”
“Who digs the trap for others ends up in it himself,” says an old proverb. It is called Thucydides trap- Sparta and Athens wars! From Wag the Dog and Face-Off to Digging the trap. The road that we are passing now. However, people talk less about infections as “infected” are in charge. So much stupidity is around us. How will America and its allies go out of the trap they dig up is highly difficult to say. Instead of returning to sanity, they prefer to raise the stakes as their hate towards Russia and the Russian people is beyond comprehension.
Is there anyone to read a document of 16 pages? Yes, and they did not like it. The concept of western society is consumed, and the time came to choose. Reforms or war? Insanity says war sanity says reforms. So what are those 16 pages?
It is National Security Strategy of the Russian Federation, approved on July 2, 2021, under the number 400. Signed by President Putin.
Just to mention 3 out of 106 points.
18.reduction in the use of the U.S. dollar in the implementation of foreign economic activity.
76.(19) ensuring the transfer of knowledge and technology between the defense and civil sectors of the economy.
Here I must say that in my eBook Quarantine Diaries and Beyond, , you will find a hint connecting V.Putin speech about new weapon systems and transferring that technology for civilian use. Nikola Tesla rings the bell? His couple of patents were registered in the Soviet Union at the time and we do not know the essence of them still.
95.Countries that are losing their undisputed leadership are trying to dictate their own rules to other members of the international community, use the means of unfair competition, apply restrictive measures(sanctions) unilaterally, and openly interfere in the internal affairs of sovereign states. Such actions lead to the loosening of the universally recognized principles and norms of international law, the weakening and destruction of existing institutions and regimes of international legal regulation, the aggravation of the military-political situation, the decrease in predictability and the weakening of trust in relations between states.
We come to the “Essence of Decision!” Professor Graham Allison in his book “The Essence of Decision,” explains the Cuban Missile Crisis had two quotes at the beginning. Current for today!
“I have come across man of letters who have written history without taking part in public affairs, and politicians who have concerned themselves with producing events without thinking about them. I have observed that the first are always inclined to find general causes, whereas the second, living in the midst of disconnected daily facts, are prone to imagine that everything is attributable to particular incidents and that the wires they pull are the same as those that move the world. It is to be presumed that both are actually deceived.” Alexie de Tocqueville
And the second one of John Fitzgerald Kennedy “The essence of the ultimate decision remains impenetrable to the observer-often, indeed, to the decider himself… There will always be the dark and tangled stretches in the decision-making process-mysterious even to those who may be most intimately involved.”
That is why leaders should be SANE!
When the book was first published in 1971, professor Alison’s direct and astonishing message was that the concept of mutually assured destruction as a boundary towards nuclear war was unfounded.
“By looking at organizational and political models, such an outcome was quite possible – nations, against what was predicted by the rational viewpoint, could indeed “commit suicide.” He pointed to several incidents in history that seemed to back this assertion. His most salient point: the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor with the full knowledge that they lacked the industrial capacity and military might to win a war against the U.S. Nevertheless, they did so anyway.” Sanctions against Japan have led to war. Again, rings the bell? Then there were no nuclear weapons.
Are we on the road of no return? What are our western leaders doing? Russia is not coming towards us, but we expand towards them. Insanity and hate are not for the times we live in! This is a complete mess, and America’s leaders need to find a way to stop this “Wag the Dog” story! Leave it at Hollywood film history!
Otherwise, the hole that is dug will become an abyss!
